Pregnancy and Parenthood Topics for Industry Veterinarians

This lecture provides veterinary professionals who work in industry roles with information and resources to support their own journey through pregnancy and the transition into working parenthood. It will cover important informational topics for new and expecting working parents such as working during pregnancy, planning parental leave, and returning to the workplace as a working parent after welcoming a child into the family. It will also include topics that are of particular importance to industry veterinarians who are more likely to have to travel in their roles. These include concerns about how work travel can affect parenting responsibilities and family life, unique childcare needs and solutions, and some benefits that industry companies may be able to offer their employees that can improve working parents' quality of life. The webinar will place an emphasis on the importance of including all parents in the conversation and workplace benefits, regardless of gender or birthing status.
